The Coal City Community Unit School District’s annual Fine Arts Festival featured presentations by the district’s vocal and instrumental music students.
Those attending the Feb. 4 event heard selections from the Intermediate School’s fifth grade beginning band, Coal City Middle School’s seventh and eighth grade choirs and its grade level and jazz bands.
Coal City High School’s choir, band and jazz band also performed, as did the Boomwacker Band composed of district staff members.
Student musicians are led by Michael Kren, director of choirs; Andrew Brimm, director of bands at Coal City Middle and Intermediate Schools; and Hope Connelly, director of bands at Coal City High School.
