Fine Arts Festival scheduled for Sunday

 

 

The Coal City Community Unit School District’s annual Fine Arts Festival showcases the various artistic talents of students in fourth to 12th grade.

 

Artwork created by students will be on display at Coal City High School from 1-4 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 4. There will also be an artist inspired art station and coloring pages. 

 

The district’s music students will also be participating with a series of concerts and solo performances. The afternoon of music will begin with the seventh grade choir with new groups performing every 15 minutes until 3:30 p.m.

 

The performance schedule for the day is:

1 p.m. Seventh grade choir

1:15 p.m. Eighth grade choir

1:30 p.m.  High school choir

1:45 p.m. Coal City staff Boomwacker Band

2 p.m. Middle school jazz band

2:15 p.m. High school jazz band

2:30 p.m. Student soloists

2:45 p.m. Fifth grade band

3 p.m. Sixth grade band

3:15 p.m. Seventh and Eighth grade band

3:30 p.m. High School band.

 

Coal City Music Boosters will be holding a bake sale and raffles with the proceeds supporting the district’s music students. 

 

The community is encouraged to attend the festival.
