Students from Coal City Middle School and Intermediate School joined forces to complete a service project throughout the month of December.
Mrs. Roudis, Miss DeKruiff and Miss Minnick worked with their students to organize donations and discuss what it means to give to organizations in need.
All of their hard work paid off when the students were able to take a special trip to Just Animals Shelter in Mason to snuggle with the cats and learn more about why helping local shelters is important.
During the visit the students presented the donations they collected to help with the care of the animals.
